Fairbanks Morse H12-44 switcher

This was a Bo-Bo type diesel-electric yard switcher of which 336 were produced between May 1950 and March 1961. The prime mover was a FM 38D-6 rated at 1200 hp (900 kW). A feature of the FM engines, and not a highly regarded one, was the opposed-piston cylinder configuration. This example was seen in Ferrocarril de Chihuahua al Pacífico, Mexico livery, in 1974.
