Sea World monorail, Queensland Gold Coast

This is a monorail on a 2 km circuit around the Sea World theme park on the Queensland Gold Coast on which three 9-car trains operate at 27 km/h and stop at three stations.  The system was built for the World Expo 88 in Brisbane and after that had concluded, was bought by Sea World in 1989.   Being privately owned, it was outside the scope of the book Railway Electrification in Australia and New Zealand, however, there is coverage of the Darling Harbour monorail of Sydney in that book.

This is not correct. The Sea World monorail opened in 1986, and originally had two trains operating. A third train was added a few years later, which was part of the Expo fleet.
